Mlýnec restaurant offers an exceptional gastronomic experience in the historic part of Prague. You enter the pleasantly structured space down the staircase lined with stonework. The interior has a modern and imaginative design that evokes life under the water. The perfectly trained staff and the restaurant manager know the details of the place, the wines and the composition of the dishes, making your visit truly special. The extensive wine list offers interesting wines from the Czech Republic; foreign wines include especially French and Italian ones, but you will also find champagne and authentic wines. The menu is imaginatively conceived and the dishes contain creatively processed ingredients. Each dish by famous Chef Vladimír Vaníček oozes creativity, fullness and expressiveness of flavors, and an effort to impress guests and make them to taste something they may not have eaten elsewhere. The flavour-balanced veal tartare is one of the best in Prague. It is prepared from tender meat with smoked mayonnaise and contains crispy roasted black rice and lush green watercress shoots. The St. James mussels and tiger prawns with a tapioca crisp, accompanied by pureed eggplant and peas, are enriched by the beurre blanc sauce with its marbling effect. The delicate coconut crème brûlée with fresh apricots, meringue and roasted coconut chips is covered with a crunchy layer of caramel. To finish, you will be delighted with the petit fours – small pralines with caramel and Maldon salt served on black pebbles. The perfect gastronomic orchestra at Mlýnec is not disturbed even by occasional fluctuations in service at full occupation. We recommend a reservation at the windows overlooking the Charles Bridge, or in the summer months, seats on the small terrace.
